A FAMILY WAS BORN
Beginning as a mortgage brokers shop on the second floor of the old JC Penney’s building in downtown Port Huron, Michigan; brothers Mark Walker and Hale Walker founded Michigan Mutual, Inc. (now doing business as MiMutual Mortgage) in 1992 with a shared vision to create a trusted and respected mortgage company and provide the best customer service for their local community. Growing from a two man team, to be one of the nations most trusted and respected mortgage banks it has always been important for the brothers to remain invested in supporting great people, building a great company and serving our communities.
As the company grew, so did the passion to share the local hometown lender experience across the continent and so MiMutual Mortgage was born, expanding the reach across 35 states from Michigan to Texas. Now, with over 100 Mortgage Loan Advisors that remain true to providing a trusted source of local mortgage knowledge to their communities, the MiMutual family works each and every day to make a difference to every story.

MiMutual Mortgage believes that giving back to the community must go beyond providing affordable home loans and steady employment. Our ongoing philanthropic efforts include national charities like the Make A Wish Foundation where we’re proud to have made two wishes come true this past year, and to supporting St. Jude’s Hospital in their never-ending fight against childhood cancer. MiMutual also provides much-needed assistance to more than 60 charities in local and regional communities.
